Calora AI

Nutrition tracker · Android

Your diary never leaves your phone.

Calora AI counts calories with no account, no subscription and no server of ours. Photograph a plate, scan a barcode or type it in — and the numbers stay where you put them.

Calora AI home screen: a calorie ring showing 1,179 of 2,100 kcal and a three-day streak.

01 — Logging

Four ways to log a meal, none of them tedious.

The AI does the dull part — reading a plate or a nutrition label — without handing your diary to anyone.

01

Photograph it

Point the camera at your plate and the AI estimates the foods and their nutrition. Before anything is sent, you see exactly where the photo goes.

02

Scan a barcode

Products you have scanned before are recognised offline. New ones are looked up in Open Food Facts — only the barcode number leaves your phone.

03

Type it in

Search the food database, or write the numbers yourself when you already know them.

04

Eat it again

Your saved meals and recent entries, one tap away — because most days repeat themselves.

Nothing is written to your diary automatically. Every result opens as a draft in the editor, so the numbers are yours to check before they count.

02 — Your plan

A target you can argue with.

Calculated from your profile with the Mifflin–St Jeor equation, adjusted for your activity and goal — and editable, because a formula is a starting point, not a verdict.

Calories 1,179 of 2,100 kcal
  • KCALCalories always. Protein, carbs, fat, fibre and water if you want them — and only if you want them.
  • KGWeight history with a chart, and milestones that mark real progress rather than daily noise.
  • 7 / 30Statistics that show the shape of a week or a month, not just the shape of today.
  • UNITSMetric and imperial, whichever way you think about food.
  • GOALThe home screen follows your goal: calories lead when you are losing weight, protein when you are building muscle — and one card answers whether you are on track.

03 — AI

Calora ships no AI of its own.

You choose who reads your photograph — and requests go from your phone straight to that provider. They do not pass through any server of ours, because we do not have one.

OPTION A

The built-in model

Works immediately after setup. Nothing to configure, no key to find, no account to open.

OPTION B

Your own provider

OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter or any OpenAI-compatible service, using your key. You pay the provider directly; Calora takes no cut and adds no markup.

OPTION C

No AI at all

The diary works perfectly well by hand. Every automatic path has a manual one beside it.

The coach screen, with suggested questions about the day's numbers.

04 — Coach

A coach that has read your diary.

Ask about your own numbers. The coach knows your goals and what you actually ate, so the answers are about you rather than about nutrition in general.

  • What can I eat with the calories I have left?
  • Why did this week go the way it did?
  • What can I cook from what is in the fridge?

05 — Privacy

Privacy by construction, not by promise.

There is no policy holding your data back. There is simply nowhere for it to go.

  • Your diary, weight, profile and conversations live in a database on your phone.
  • There is no account to create and nothing to sync, because there is nowhere to sync to.
  • No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no crash reporting.
  • Export everything as JSON or CSV whenever you like. Erase everything from the same screen — and since we hold no copy, erased means erased.
  • API keys are kept in Android's secure storage, not in the app's database.

06 — Also

Small things that add up.

  • English, Russian and Uzbek throughout — dates and numbers included.
  • Meal reminders generated on your device. There is no push server.
  • Dietary restrictions and allergies are respected in suggestions.
  • Dark and light themes, following the system.
  • Barcodes you have scanned before are recognised with no network at all.
  • No purchases inside the app. Nothing to unlock.

07 — Availability
